KYC & AML Policy
This page explains how 人工智能分析工具 verifies the identity of its clients, which documents are accepted, how long a review normally takes and how activity on an account is monitored on an ongoing basis.
Verification is a standard requirement for regulated financial services. It protects clients from account takeover and identity misuse, and it allows 人工智能分析工具 to meet the anti-money-laundering obligations that apply to its activity.
What KYC and AML mean
Know Your Customer (KYC)
KYC is the process of confirming that a client is a real, identifiable person, that the details supplied during registration are accurate, and that the payment instrument used to fund the account belongs to that person. It combines document checks, data checks and, where required, additional questions about the source of funds and trading experience.
Anti-Money Laundering (AML)
AML refers to the controls a financial service applies to prevent its systems being used to move, disguise or place the proceeds of crime, to finance terrorism, or to circumvent sanctions. In practice this means risk-based client due diligence, record keeping, transaction monitoring and the reporting of suspicious activity to the competent authorities.
Why verification is required
Verification is not optional and is not a marketing step. It is completed before an account can be fully used for funding, trading or withdrawals.
- To confirm that the account holder is the person named on the account and is of legal age in their country of residence.
- To confirm that funds are sent and returned to an instrument that belongs to the account holder - third-party funding is not accepted.
- To screen clients against applicable sanctions and politically exposed person lists on a risk-based basis.
- To keep the records that applicable law requires financial service providers to retain.
- To reduce fraud, identity theft and unauthorised access to client accounts.
Which documents are accepted
Documents must be valid, in full colour, fully legible and uncropped, showing all four edges. Screenshots of documents held on another device are usually rejected.
The verification steps
Each stage is completed inside your account area, where the current status of every document is displayed.
Register
Create an account with your legal name, date of birth, country of residence and contact details, exactly as they appear on your identity document.
Upload
Submit your identity document, proof of address and, where funding has been started, proof of the payment method used.
Screening
Details are checked for consistency and screened against applicable sanctions and watch lists on a risk-based basis.
Review
A compliance reviewer confirms the documents are valid and legible, or requests a specific correction with the reason stated.
Approval
Once approved, the account status changes to verified and funding, trading and withdrawal functions become available.
How long a check takes
Most complete submissions are reviewed within a few hours to a few business days. Timing depends on the quality of the documents supplied, the volume of requests in the queue and whether any additional information is needed. Where an enhanced review is required, the process may take longer. The current status and any outstanding request are always shown in your account area, and the processing windows that apply to your account are published there.
We do not charge a fee for identity verification.
Why a check can be rejected
A rejection is usually a document quality issue and can normally be resolved by uploading a corrected file. Common reasons include:
- The document is expired, damaged, partly covered or cut off at the edges.
- The image is blurred, dark, glared or too low in resolution for the details to be read.
- The name, date of birth or address does not match the information registered on the account.
- The proof of address is older than the accepted period, or is not issued by a recognised institution or authority.
- The payment instrument is registered to somebody other than the account holder.
- The document appears to have been altered, or the client is resident in a jurisdiction we do not serve.
Where a submission cannot be accepted at all, we will say so and, subject to legal limits on what may be disclosed, explain the category of the problem. In such cases funds received are returned to their original source in accordance with our Terms of Use.
Transaction monitoring
Verification is not a one-off event. Account activity is monitored on a risk-based, ongoing basis to detect patterns that are inconsistent with the profile of the client - for example funding and withdrawal patterns that do not match stated purpose, repeated use of different instruments, or activity linked to a restricted jurisdiction.
Where a pattern requires clarification we may ask for updated documents or additional information, apply temporary limits, or in serious cases suspend an account. Suspicious activity is reported to the competent authorities where the applicable law requires it, and in those circumstances we may be prohibited from disclosing that a report has been made. Client records are retained for the minimum periods required by applicable law after the relationship ends.
The user's obligations
- Provide accurate, current and complete information, and keep your account details up to date if your name, address or contact details change.
- Use only payment instruments held in your own name, and never fund or withdraw on behalf of a third party.
- Operate one account for your own benefit only, and keep your access credentials confidential.
- Respond to reasonable requests for information within the period stated in the request.
- Confirm that funds you deposit come from a lawful source and that you are not acting for a sanctioned or prohibited person.
- Comply with the laws of your own country of residence, including tax reporting obligations.
Where to ask questions
If you need clarification on a verification request, want to know which document would satisfy a specific step, or wish to raise a concern about how your documents were handled, contact our support team through the contact page. Please do not send document images by unencrypted channels - always upload them inside your account area.
